Esports is no longer just entertainment for young Malaysians — it has grown into a multi-billion-dollar industry worldwide, and esports betting is now one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia. At newroll996, we understand that the esports community in Malaysia has different needs from conventional sports bettors, which is why our platform is built specifically to support a deeper, more informed betting experience.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang remains the most popular esports title in Malaysia. The MPL Malaysia championship draws tens of thousands of live viewers, with matches broadcast across multiple platforms. Players on newroll996 who already follow MPL closely have a natural edge — their in-depth knowledge of teams, players, and squad strategies can translate into sharper betting decisions compared to players who rely on odds alone.
Dota 2 attracts a more seasoned player base. The International, the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament in the world, offers a prize pool worth billions of ringgit every year. Malaysia's Dota 2 community is among the most active in Southeast Asia, with numerous Discord servers and local forums sharing in-depth team analysis. Players on newroll996 who are plugged into these communities often get early word on lineup changes and the latest patch strategies — information that's invaluable when making betting decisions.
CS2 and Valorant attract Malaysia's younger audience who follow the competitive FPS scene. ESL Pro League and BLAST Premier for CS2, along with VCT Pacific for Valorant, deliver matches almost every week. On newroll996, online and in-play betting for these titles lets you wager while the action unfolds — for instance, who wins the next round, how many rounds will be played in a given map, or whether the match will go to overtime. These prop bet types add a richer dimension to betting beyond simply picking the overall winner.
One thing that sets the esports betting experience at newroll996 apart from other platforms is the integration of live statistical data. Before placing a bet, you can check the head-to-head record between two teams, their performance over the last 10 matches, win rates on specific maps, and how each team performs at home versus away. This information not only helps you make more rational decisions, but also makes following the match a far more engaging and meaningful experience.
Many Malaysian players ask about the best way to get started with e-sports betting at newroll996. Our recommendation is to begin with the title you watch or play the most. If you're a casual MLBB player, you already understand the game mechanics, hero roles and team strategies. Use that knowledge as your foundation. Bet on matches you plan to watch live, since you'll be able to make sharper in-play decisions based on what you're seeing on screen.
Bankroll management in e-sports is just as important as in any other form of betting. Because e-sports matches happen around the clock, the temptation to bet on every available game is very real. At newroll996, we recommend players set a daily limit and focus on only three to five matches they genuinely know well. Quality analysis matters far more than betting volume.
Deposits and withdrawals at newroll996 for esports are as quick and seamless as the games themselves. Use Touch 'n Go eWallet or DuitNow to top up in seconds. GrabPay, Boost, and ShopeePay are also accepted for players who prefer digital wallets. For those more comfortable with internet banking, FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks is a reliable option. Winnings withdrawn to a Malaysian bank account are typically processed within one to two hours for regular members.
E-sports at newroll996 is more than just betting — it's a way for Malaysia's e-sports community to engage more deeply with the games they love. Whenever Geek Fam MY plays in the MPL or a Malaysian team competes on the international stage, having a stake in the match makes every moment that much more exciting.
